Problem: After deploying a Next.js frontend and a NestJS backend on separate VPS servers, API calls and authentication failed in production despite working locally. What I did: Analyzed the deployment architecture, reviewed Nginx and HTTPS configuration, identified the root cause related to static frontend hosting, and proposed correct production deployment strategies. Result: The application was unblocked with a stable deployment approach and correct frontend-backend communication.
