Developed a real-time people counting system for retail foot traffic analysis using YOLOv8 for person detection and DeepSORT for multi-object tracking. The system detects, tracks, and counts customers entering and exiting the store, helping analyze customer flow, peak hours, and store activity. The solution was optimized from 150 ms to 33 ms per frame, achieving around 95% accuracy at 30 FPS.
