Job Title: .NET Software Engineer (Remote) – State of California Contract Category: Web Development Job Description: We are urgently seeking an experienced .NET Software Engineer to support the modernization of mission-critical applications for a State of California agency. This is a fully remote, long-term contract open to U.S.-based candidates only. Responsibilities: Build and modernize web applications using C#, .NET 6/8, and ASP.NET Core Develop REST APIs and integrate with state systems Work with SQL Server, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines Migrate legacy .NET Framework applications to .NET Core Ensure security and Section 508 accessibility compliance Requirements: 5+ years of experience with C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, and Entity Framework Core Strong SQL Server expertise Front-end experience with Angular, React, or Blazor Experience with Azure DevOps and Git Prior State of California or public sector experience is highly preferred Nice to Have: Azure cloud experience Section 508 accessibility knowledge Microsoft certifications Salary: Negotiable (based on experience and skills) Displayed salary on the platform is for posting purposes only and final compensation may vary depending on qualifications and interview results.
